4-Week Pottery Workshop (Monday Nights)
What To Expect.
Week One: Learning How to Throw - This first week, our focus is getting comfortable with the clay. You’ll learn how to throw simple shapes here, staying loose and having fun.
Week Two: Next up, we focus on learning to throw more usable shapes– mugs, bowls, vases, you name it. The main focus of this week is learning to trim, cleaning up the bottoms of our pieces and making them classy.
Week Three: This week, we’ll get into glaze. You’ll choose different colors and techniques here to add a flare to your work.
Week Four: Tonight, we’ll do a speed run.. Using the remainder of your resources and trimming pieces you made the same day.
Let’s Celebrate.
In honor of completing our class, our studio rewards you with bragging rights.
After compiling all of your wondrous craft, we’ll hold a mini exhibit for you to share about the new love you’ve learned.
The Important Stuff.
Age range: 16+
Class Duration: 90min
Cost: $120 per person
Class Dates: September 11th, 18th, 25th, and October 2nd.
About Instructor Jaedyn Beardsley:
I’ve always had an immense love for art, my favorite mediums being charcoal and acrylic. However, three years ago I fell in love with ceramics and cannot turn my back on it for the life of me! After my first experience working with clay, (being in a class just like the one I’m teaching now), I was hooked, and now I plan on making a career out of it. My love for art stems from a simple idea, I admire the fact that any art is beautiful. Whether it’s incredibly detailed or insanely sloppy, every piece has an idea and a feeling behind it. How lovely is that?

There is no cost unless you want to keep what you make and then it’s just $5 per piece. Work made during these times is fired and glazed at the studio and will be available for pick-up 10 days after the class. RSVP to let us know you're coming!
